Level 1 courses are usually last 15 weeks and give you the knowledge, understanding and skills to move up to Level 2. At Level 2, you gain in-depth knowledge and a qualification that will help you work in health and social care.
We have strong links with employers to help our learners get jobs after they successfully complete our higher-level courses.
Understanding Autism
The course is accredited by NCFE and you will gain a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism and this consists of the following units:
- Introduction to autism.
- Using a person-centred approach to support individuals with autism.
- Communication and social interaction in individuals with autism.
- Sensory processing, perception and cognition in individuals with autism.
- Supporting positive behaviour in individuals with autism.
- Supporting individuals with autism to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

Adult Social Care
The Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is a qualification providing a basic awareness for learners who want to work in this sector. It is ideal for learners eligible for employment, adult returners or those undergoing a career change and who may want to understand more about working in health and social care. Completing this course will allow you to progress to a level 2 certificate or Diploma in Health and Social care.

Health and Social Care
The Health and Social Care Level 2 certificate will provide learners with knowledge and understanding of core subjects areas in health and social care that will support progression to a Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social care or to employment with the health and social care sector.
Accredited by NCFE you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence showing how you meet the qualification criteria (e.g. written assignments, class notes, witness statements etc.) You will complete 3 units:
- Understand the range of provision and roles in the sector.
- Understand the Principles and Values.
- Awareness of Health and Safety.
